Margaret V. Shaheen, MA, NHA, CMC

	Margaret comes to Elder Care Coordinators with 25 years of gerontological experience. Margaret was an executive director of an urban home care service. She also managed the second largest home care corporation in Massachusetts. In addition, she was involved with the creation of the first managed care program for elders in the city of Boston. As a licensed nursing home administrator she has consulted on numerous cases regarding regulatory and care issues. Margaret is certified as a care manager and holds the title of Advanced Professional with the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. Margaret has served on the board of the North Andover Council on Aging, Massachusetts Gerontological Association and is a member of the Massachusetts Public Health Association.She has a degree in Sociology from Holy Cross and a Masters in Human Service Management, concentrating in aging; from Brandeis University. Bringing together the medical, social and economic needs of elders is what she does best.
Patricia C. Marvin, BSN, RN

Patricia brings the insights of professional nursing to Elder Care Coordinators. A graduate of Boston College School of Nursing and a registered nurse in Massachusetts for over 30 years, her experiences have been multiple and varied. As a community health nurse with the Boston VNA followed by in-patient rotations on geriatric medical/surgical units, emergency room and orthopedic units; Patricia has the experience to evaluate care on many medical levels. Administratively, she has taught in-service education to both medical and nursing staffs at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. Most recently Patricia has been involved with the funding for a cancer management center at Holy Family Medical Center in Methuen. She is very well trained identifying the medical needs of elders.
